Magical Batik

Batik is an ancient art which uses wax and dyes to create a visual magic on fabric. Overall the process is very lengthy and tedious.Firstly the liquid wax is used for creating design on white base then it is dyed and again wax is applied to cover that first colour then again dyed for the next colour and lastly the wax is removed by boiling the fabric so that it peels off.The white fabric is now a beautiful piece of saree.Batik is known for its cracks design which can be only done by this method . This is a black and white design on satinsilk.The design falls on the half saree and rest is dyed black .This elegant looking saree gives you a comfortable drape in this hot summer.
